3. Mihaela: Emotions: love, hunger. description: looking at mom's beautiful flowers during summer/spring. Yes, I think it would have been different if darker shades would have been used, I would have perceived it as the garden in a haunted castle or something similar. Maybe even a grave where flowers are planted.
4. Miruna: Vulnerability. Innocence. An innocent person, pure, sensible, can be hurt easily. It’s the pink -makes me think of something good and innocent
5. Madeleine: I would pin emotion and joy to this one. Flowers are a common symbol of many positive emotions and signifiers — with the addition of a vibrant pink, warmth and joy radiate.
6. Andrada: Happiness, joy. Makes me think of spring, when nature is full of flowers. The colours that influence me to think of spring are pink and yellow.
BEHIND THE PAINTING
Baby Groot - Marvel's most innocent and pure character. I tried the abstract route for this painting as well. I knew I wanted to go with something nature-related and I used soft pastels to signify the childlike aspect of Groot's personality. I added the flower petals later, to stretch the natural concept even further. I also wanted to highlight both the fragility of Groot's existence and his incredible of rebirth. For this, I left half the painting intact, while on the other side I crushed the flower petals and the leaves.
