ANSWERS:

1. Aneta: A hidden tree. A dying tree? Death of humanity? Disappointment. Sadness

2. Mihai: He accepts the dark side and the good side. Unable to change his fate, but he doesn't want to either. Acceptance maybe?

3. Mihaela:
Emotions: Death, uncertainty, love, dizziness
Description: I feel like this picture portrays a man either falling in love- the red symbolising love and the black symbolising the dark parts of love/life or a man that is about to die, the red symbolising its blood and the black symbolising the darkness of death coming upon his soul.
I do believe that in this picture the colours are important, you cannot create the same effect using blue and pink or any other combination.

4. Miruna: Death.  Good and Evil coming together after death. Healing, purifying the soul. The smile shows that the person is now feeling at pace. Black (evil) and Red (good) leaving the body.

5. Madeleine: Oranges and blacks make me feel emptiness. The fluidity of the techniques make me feel anxious, un reassured and grief.

6. Andrada: Despite the colours, the painting makes me think of safety, fulfilment. The person seems to have found their place and they are happy. Their face is calm and it looks like they might be smiling. Not sure if the colours are influencing me in any way, they are perfectly balanced. The serenity in the person's face is attracting all my attention.

SPIDERMAN

       (AVENGERS: ENDGAME VERSION)

BEHIND THE PAINTING

This was more of a trial painting. I wanted to see if what happened when I interviewed people about the videos would repeat if I stick to clear representations.

I only used Spider-Man's theme colours for this piece. Since it was the second painting with the same character, I wanted to see if, since people are used to seeing this character portrayed like this, just the way the drawing was made would influence them rather than the colours. For this painting, people reacted more to the way the drawing was made, rather than the colours themselves. The same as with the videos, once people recognise the character, they focus more on them rather than on the colours themselves - the colour becomes a second character, as it is already engraved into people's subconscious.
